Quality Inspector A precision machine parts manufacturer based in Dundalk are currently seeking a Quality Inspector Company: Established for over several decades and with a headcount of over 100 people, our client has cemented their reputation in the Irish engineering market as one of leading practices in precision engineering who manufacture innovative and cutting-edge precision machine components.
They boast a portfolio of work in the medical, aerospace and electronics markets in which they consistently refine and improve process and methods to offer the best solutions.
They are now looking to further strengthen the team with a talented Quality Inspector on a 6 month fixed term contract Role: This role will be a 6 month fixed term contract and site-based in Dundalk.
The successful Quality Inspector will carry out the following: Carry out precision measurements using a variety of metrology equipment Tools will include calipers, micrometers, and gauges Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standard Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine inspection criteria Record and analyse measurement data, identifying trends and deviations from specifications.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
Person: For this Quality Inspector role, we are looking to speak to candidates who meet the following requirements or similar: Ideally, you will have experience working as a quality inspector in a previous role Candidates that have worked in precision engineering or metal fabrication are preferred, but our client will consider candidates from other sectors once they have a strong background too Toolmakers, CNC setters or CNC operators that would like to make a transition to quality are encouraged to apply Package: Salary: €35k - €38k (pro rata) HealthcareDiscount 22 days Holiday Location: Dundalk Applications are encouraged from any candidates that are living within a commutable distance to Dundalk!
