What you will be doing:
1. Partnering with quality to ensure product attributes and performance achieve all specifications.
2. Ensuring the performance of day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing equipment.
3. Liaising with Production to ensure equipment performance is maximised.
4. Maintaining records and documentation on relevant Engineering procedures and preventative/demand maintenance.
5. Liaising with Internal/External Engineering Personnel and contract maintenance providers in maintaining troubleshooting, and installing/commissioning equipment.
6. Technical design making and project planning for new mould tools and processes.
7. Integration of new Injection Mould tooling and equipment in manufacturing processes.
8. Providing technical oversight on existing lines, investigating yields and quality trends.
9. Preparing appropriate CAPA plans and implementing per timelines.
10. Leading projects against agreed project milestones.
11. Partnering with Marketing and Business Development, Customers, Suppliers, Vendors and Internal Cross-Functional teams as required.
12. Ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget according to business requirements.
13. Coordination and analysis of metrology measurements during product development phases.
14. Decision making on mould design and steel adjustments to meet tight tolerances.
15. Establishing calibration, preventive maintenance and spare parts programmes.
16. Ensuring compliance with calibration and maintenance requirements.
17. Ensuring safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.
18. Ensuring compliance with all Quality, Regulatory, GMP requirements and adherence to all company policies and relevant legislation.
19. Participating in Risk Management activities as required.
20. All other duties as requested or assigned.
What you need to apply:
1. A relevant technical qualification in engineering/science/moulding.
2. Degree Level preferable and/or relevant experience.
3. 5-7 years+ relevant experience.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of molding, extrusion and/or polymer processes and technologies.
5. Strong analytical problem-solving skills; statistics knowledge/experience would be advantageous.
6. Previous project/process management, product technology transfer/NPI and validation experience is desirable.
7. Results driven with proven ability to prioritize work.
8. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
9. Good working knowledge of quality systems would be helpful.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
11. Working knowledge of AutoCad and/or Solidworks is a benefit.
