Job Title: EHS Advisor - Facilities Management
Description:
The role of EHS Advisor - Facilities Management is to provide technical expertise and guidance to the facilities management team on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental matters.
This includes developing and implementing comprehensive guidelines, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
* Conduct regular site audits to verify adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and EHS standards
* Monitor compliance among specialist subcontractors, agency personnel, and direct employees to maintain a safe working environment
* Foster relationships and maintain a positive proactive presence on-site to ensure strict compliance with EHS guidelines and regulations
* Lead and coordinate comprehensive accident investigations, ensuring thorough and timely reporting of incidents, utilising root cause analysis techniques to identify the underlying causes of accidents and near-misses
* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement effective corrective and preventive measures to mitigate the risk of future incidents
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Degree qualified in an EHS discipline
* Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and Construction industry essential
* 5 years' experience in a fast-paced commercial environment
* Possess an Internal Auditing accreditation to include Integrated Management Systems (ISO14000 and ISO 45001)
* In-depth knowledge of Irish Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluent English
* Ability to work well within strict deadlines
* Ability to prepare Audits and EHS reports to a high standard

Our client is a large Irish-owned Facilities Management company, operating across multiple sectors including Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education, Corporate, Government, Public Buildings, and Retail.
Working Arrangements:
The role will be based in our client's office in Blanchardstown with regular travel to client sites in Dublin.
