Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2025 Cooperative cohort. Tasks and responsibilities may include:
1. Together, with your Stryker team leader and college supervisor, identifyaSupply Planning project along with project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones and evaluation
2. Supporting cross functional teams to develop best in class strategic sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and/or commodities in support of business objectives
3. Supporting the implementation of supplier and/or commodity strategy which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and make v’s buy analyses
4. Represent the ‘voice of the supplier’ in the organization
5. Collaborate with key stakeholders on contract strategy for suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor and enforce when applicable
6. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses
7. Participate in new product launches; lead supplier selection, requests for quotes and insurance that suppliers are clear on product launch deliverables; collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful launch
8. Responsible for assuring cost standards are established for annual operating budgets
9. Ensures compliance with the Quality, Safety and 5S Systems.
What you will need:
10. Currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Businessor other related courses
11. Honesty and integrity; must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies
12. Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast and results orientated environment
13. Reliable, dependable, and punctual
14. Organised, focused, and capable of multi-tasking
15. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
16. Good verbal and written communication skills
17. Basic level of PC skills required
18. Is a team player and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team
To be eligible:
19. Enrolled at an Irish or Northern Irish university for the duration of the cooperative placement
20. Available for either 6, 9 or 12 months – exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Stryker

23. Should all requirements be met, and you are happy to proceed, in September, successful candidates will be invited to a final round business interview with the hiring team. Your University Recruiting Business Partner will ensure you are fully equipped for this once reaching this step in the process.
24. If successful through the final round business interview, we aim to move to offer stage between September – November.
