Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Officer:
1. Shop-floor engagement: Work closely with the workforce to encourage active participation in health and safety initiatives.
2. Accident prevention and investigation: Lead the investigation of incidents, compile reports, and implement safety improvements.
3. Risk assessments: Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and other HSE standards.
4. Health and safety compliance: Ensure all operations meet regulatory safety standards and company policies.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal Health and Safety Officer candidate will have:
1. Experience: Gained experience within health and safety.
2. Mindset: Proactive, results-driven, and passionate about driving safety culture.
3. Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both shopfloor staff and senior management.
4. Qualifications: NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
