Job Title: Lead Production Technician
Flexsource are currently recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Production Technician to support our production and manufacturing teams in achieving a high standard of productivity.
Responsibilities:
* Support production when required, ensuring business needs are met.
* Ensure detailed communication across shifts regarding production status, priorities, ongoing issues, and potential requests for support.
* Maintain open lines of communication with the Line Lead, ensuring awareness of any items that need discussion or escalation at daily handover meetings.
* Organize production workflow and ensure employees understand their duties and tasks.
* Maintain accurate timekeeping and records on TMS for payroll purposes.
* Proactively manage absenteeism and attendance, escalating issues to the Line Lead as necessary.
* Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
* Deliver shift briefs emphasizing quality, cost, and delivery, and encourage team members to share ideas for improvement.
* Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Lead by example, maintaining safe work practices in accordance with company policies.
* Supervise lines to guarantee compliance with site Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Waste Management objectives, policies, and procedures.
* Support and promote continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities, applying them effectively.
* Implement and sustain 5S activities and standards.
* Liaise with planning to execute plans, manage overtime, and ensure agreed schedules are executed in full.
* Assist the Line Lead in managing the line as needed, driving operators to achieve satisfactory machine utilization and efficiency with minimal downtime.
* Highlight high fallout to the Line Leader.
* Achieve daily standards set by the Line Leader and Manufacturing Manager.
* Identify and develop potential operators to handle equipment effectively, motivating them for greater throughput, quality, and efficiency.
* Highlight performance and training issues as necessary to maximize employee performance.
* Monitor and update hourly production status.
* Support the Line Lead with all people matters.
* Lead and motivate a team to succeed by utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles, including leading by example, setting objectives, and defining responsibilities.
Requirements:
* Minimum Leaving Certificate required or equivalent. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.
* Minimum Operator II level.
* Supervisory experience is highly advantageous.
* Knowledge of lean management systems is essential; Bronze certification or higher is advantageous.
Desired Requirements:
* BS/BA degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics.
* Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Experience in leading process improvements and lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Knowledge Requirements:
1. Computer literate with intermediate/Advanced MS Office skills.
2. Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with cross-functional teams.
3. Strong planning and organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in the English language and eligibility to work in Ireland are required.
