Job Title: Assistant Retail Manager
Location: Irish Cancer Society Shop, Cork City
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (5 days a week)
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm with a mid-week day off
Reports to: Shop Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at the Irish Cancer Society. As a key member of our fundraising department, you will play a vital role in maintaining high street retail standards and promoting the professionalism and profile of the Society.
Main Responsibilities:
• Assist the Shop Manager in all areas of shop operation
• Maintain operational standards consistent with or exceeding industry norms
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring courteous and professional interactions
• Manage staff members, including Sales Assistants and volunteers, to deliver exceptional results
• Ensure accurate records of sales and payments, adhering to banking and cash-security procedures
• Promote Society services and support major fundraising initiatives
