Job Title: Interim Commercial Buyer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Buyer to join our team in Shannon, Co. Clare.
This is a fixed-term contract opportunity with a highly competitive package for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source and order non-aircraft materials and services, including cleaning materials, abrasives, and consumables.
* Purchase aircraft raw materials, tooling, capital equipment, and MRO supplies.
* Procure workwear, PPE, office supplies, packaging, and IT materials.
* Negotiate fixed-price agreements, discounts, and rebates with vendors.
* Maintain and monitor MRP, vendor performance, and supplier approvals.
* Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Optimize transport costs and logistics with Freight Forwarders.
* Coordinate with Finance to resolve invoice queries, returns, and credit notes.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations for hazardous materials.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in purchasing/supply chain, ideally in aviation.
* Qualification in IIPMM / APICS Purchasing, Logistics, or Supply Chain (desirable).
* Strong IT skills and experience with ERP systems.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
