Post: Project Lead Coordinator - Part Time 17.5 hour contract
Location: Saint John of God Community Services Dublin South East or any other location associated with the Region.
Reporting to: Regional Operations Manager
Responsible to: Regional Director

Qualifications:
A relevant qualification, excellent computer literacy and a full, clean driving license.
Professional Knowledge:
* A proven track record in the delivery of support services, including prioritisation and project management.
* Proven ability to manage areas of responsibility in a pro-active and professional manner.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to negotiate/present and influence.
* Strong knowledge of Public Procurement guidelines is essential.
Role and Responsibilities
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Oversee and drive the Service Development Plan, leading the establishment of all new Residential and Day Service developments to enhance the quality of life for the individuals we support.
In collaboration with the Operations Manager, Programme Managers, and Head of Units, coordinate, prioritize, and project-manage new development initiatives involving new buildings. Work alongside the Procurement Officer to secure the best value for St John of God Community Services, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement guidelines.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager on all building projects, providing regular progress updates and reporting on associated costs.
Ensure all building projects comply with health and safety guidelines and relevant legislation.
Work with the Operations Manager and Procurement Officer to develop tender documents for building projects.
Monitor the progress of new building projects, coordinating with successful tenderers and communicating effectively with all stakeholders until project completion.
Address issues related to building projects, including tracking defective works and managing completion standards.
Liaise with the Operations Manager to address any maintenance requirements under the Service Development Plan.
Maintain strong oversight of projects, ensuring completion in accordance with relevant authorities (e.g., Fire Officer, HIQA).
Ensure the operation of an efficient and effective security service to protect buildings and their fixtures.
Coordinate with consultant architects and contractors as directed by the Operations Manager to ensure proper execution of building works.
Collaborate with the MDT Committee to address Service Users' needs and ensure attendance at all MDT meetings related to new projects.
Stay informed about health and safety regulations in accordance with legislation and service policy, ensuring safety standards are upheld.
Promptly investigate accidents and compile reports as required.
Adhere to fire and safety regulations in accordance with the Service's policy.
Stay updated on the Organisation's service policies and ensure their consistent application.
Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work legislation, as outlined in the Dublin South East Services Safety Statement.
Maintain accurate records and statistics related to the role of Project Lead Coordinator and provide regular returns.
Provide out-of-hours on-call support as needed.
Attend meetings and in-service training programs as scheduled.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director or designated person.
You are required to respect and operate within the framework of the tradition, character and ethics, which govern the work of St. John of God Services Dublin South East.
The duties will be subject to review in light of experience and/or changing circumstances and may include other duties appropriate to the post.
Conditions of Employment
Remuneration: Department of Health Consolidated Salary scales: Grade VII Salary Range €59,419 - €77,243 pro rata.
Superannuation: All staff members will be required to join the Nominated Health Agencies Superannuation Scheme or the Single Pension Scheme - whichever apply.
Annual Leave: The holiday year runs from 1st January to 31st December and the annual leave allowance for this position is 30 days per annum. Public Holidays will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997.
Working Week: 35 hours per week pro rata. Hours of attendance will be determined by the Director or designated nominee. From time to time you may be required to work outside the normal hours.
Probation: The appointee will be on probation for a period of one year and at any time during your probationary service including the conclusion thereof; the Ministries will be at liberty to terminate your employment forthwith and at its absolute discretion.
Ethical Clause: The appointee will be required to respect and operate within the framework of the tradition, character and ethics, which govern the work of the Saint John of God Hospitaller Ministries.
