Post Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (20 month contract) for the research project ‘INTUIT’. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of researchers undertaking research in the area of telecommunications development and the environment. The post will be situated in the School of Engineering, Trinity College Dublin and is funded by the Research Ireland Centre for Future Networks CONNECT. The principal investigator of the project is Dr Fiona McDermott, and the collaborators on the project are Dr Tom O’Dea (NCAD), Dr Harun Šiljak (TCD) and Prof Dirk Pesch (UCC). The successful candidate will be based in Dublin and will become part of CONNECT Centre’s working groups on Network Ecologies and Sustainable IoT. The candidate will work in collaboration with researchers from across the different academic partners of the CONNECT research centre and will involve undertaking fieldwork in Dublin and other locations in Ireland. A travel budget is available for fieldwork and/or attending conferences/workshops (nationally and internationally). Starting date: between March and May 2025.
