Job Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing daily activities in the distribution centre, including managing shift responsibilities and staffing. The successful candidate will assist in training and scheduling the warehouse team, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
The role reports directly to the International Trade and Logistics Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on supervision to maximise productivity and accuracy in job functions.
* Plan daily workloads to ensure all customer orders are shipped on time.
* Support the warehouse team in driving a customer-focused environment.
* Supervise daily processes to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.
* Provide direction and assistance to the warehouse team.
* Meet departmental expectations to drive results.
* Assist in training, developing and managing the warehouse team.
* Ensure site compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
* Provide training and certification for Industrial Powered equipment use.
* Report on warehouse activities using Business Metrics and other required reports.
* Comply with logistic and distribution centre budgetary constraints.
Qualifications:
* Strong Warehouse knowledge and business acumen.
* 2-4 years experience in Distribution Centre operations, preferably with Store, Direct to Consumer and Business to Business applications.
* Familiarity with conducting metric-driven analysis and accountability.
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
* Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
* Able to identify challenges and arrive at optimum solutions.
* Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.
