A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Interim Credit Controller to support its billing and collections operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Billing and Collections, this role involves ensuring the timely collection of payments, maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the efficiency of cash flow processes.
This position requires an immediate start and offers the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs. The working arrangement is three days per week onsite in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
Collections Management
1. Monitor aged debt and follow up on overdue payments, ensuring accurate records of all activities.
2. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
3. Process and allocate incoming payments accurately.
4. Generate and analyse aged debtor reports to identify trends and risks.
Client Communication
1. Professionally engage with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment queries.
2. Collaborate with internal teams to address complex payment issues.
3. Document all client interactions and payment arrangements.
4. Handle billing queries and disputes with efficiency and professionalism.
Process Implementation
1. Support the execution of collection strategies and maintain clear documentation of processes.
2. Assist in preparing performance reports for the collections function.
3. Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Reporting
1. Ensure all collection activities adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
2. Prepare regular reports on aged debt and collections performance.
3. Support month-end accounts receivable closing procedures.
4. Maintain thorough records for audit purposes.
Your Profile
Experience and Skills
1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit control, preferably within financial or professional services.
2. Proficiency in financial systems, Microsoft Office, and international payment processes.
3. Strong understanding of credit control best practices and regulatory requirements.
4. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounts receivable modules in ERP systems.
