Position: Maintenance Fitter - Medical Devices in Kildare North
Cpl are delighted to be supporting our client partner who are a globally recognised brand in Medical Device Manufacturing.
Based in a technology campus in North Kildare for the past 10 years, their business is continuing to grow and with a 25% increase in production output forecast for 2025, they are now looking to recruit a number of skilled professionals to join their high-performance engineering team.
Shift Details: All of the maintenance team work a day shift only (Monday to Friday) and support the evening and weekend production shifts with an on-call / out of hours service back up. The on-call rota is shared between all the maintenance team and call outs are paid at market leading rates.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on high-speed production lines and robotics units.
2. Execute a best-in-class maintenance programme across modern production and packaging lines.
3. Set-up, install, maintain, and support packaging and manufacturing equipment.
4. Provide day-to-day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
5. Responsible for Zone/Line performance and overall maintenance and repair of equipment.
6. Resolve problems quickly and efficiently while maintaining accurate maintenance documentation.
7. Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to production.
8. Plan work activities to improve Line Zone performance in conjunction with the Supervisor/Lead Fitter.
9. Troubleshoot and repair damaged or poor-performing equipment.
10. Assist in compiling technical feedback on engineering performance.
Minimum Requirements:
1. At least 3 years’ trade experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter.
2. Experience in High Volume Regulated GMP Manufacturing or related industries.
3. Knowledge of GMP or BRC or Clean Room regulations is an advantage.
4. Excellent communication and people skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
6. PLC/Controller experience (programming is an advantage).
7. National Craft Senior Trades Mechanical Qualification or an equivalent qualification.
