The Role
An opportunity is available for a highly motivated accounts assistant/administrator to work with the Lorna Byrne Foundation and Lorna Byrne’s management team, based in our offices in Donadea, Co Kildare. Responsible for the management of the day-to-day accounts function with an emphasis on recording and managing donations.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the charity administration process from board meeting coordination to day-to-day administration tasks
* Manage charity donations and keep detailed accounts of same
* Ensure relevant policies are followed to ensure best practice
* Assist with compliance activities and the annual compliance audit
* Manage banking processes
* Support financial and accounting work from coordinating annual and monthly accounts to daily payments and account administration
* Produce Monthly Income & Expenditure report
* Work on the annual audit process – liaise with the external auditors
* Work with executives of the Lorna Byrne Foundation to produce quarterly forecast reports based on the fundraising plan
* Schedule meetings and make travel arrangements as required
* PA admin duties for management as required
Requirements:
* Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in an accounts role
* Ability to multitask and experience of working in a varied role where the ability to prioritise workload is essential
* Experience of working with Microsoft Office packages is essential
* Experience in SURF or similar accounting software package
* Experience in charity compliance activities would be an advantage
