Job Summary
Monitor and maintain production lines of plastic injection molding presses, ensuring optimal cycle times and continuous monitoring of raw materials. Remove finished parts from presses or conveyor belts, inspect and evaluate parts for quality, and perform secondary operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor production lines for optimal cycle times and continuous operation.
* Remove finished parts from presses or conveyor belts.
* Inspect and evaluate parts for quality based on established criteria and specifications.
* Perform secondary operations such as trimming, labeling, and assembly as needed.
* Pack and label parts according to customer requirements.
* Notify Plant Manager or Production Leader of any issues with parts, molds, presses, or equipment.
* Document actions, irregularities, and continuing needs for continuity among work shifts.
Accountability:
* Maintain accurate counts of completed and scrapped parts.
* Effectively communicate with team members and management to ensure seamless production.
* Complete all required paperwork and maintain accurate records.
* Report issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal rework and maximum quality standards.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Ability to read and write in English.
* Basic math skills and ability to operate weight scales.
* Knowledge of basic safety policies and procedures.
* Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Training:
* Oriented towards the company's policies and procedures.
* Trained on raw material monitoring, part production work instructions, and Bridgeport milling machine operation.
* Familiarity with press tool kits and call boxes.
