Job Description
This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract, Part Time role requiring the successful candidate to work either 3 or 4 days per week.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Advisor to join our team based in Belfast City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of human resource practices and initiatives ensuring compliance with legislation across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advice and Guidance: Develop and implement HR strategies including recruitment, training, and retention plans.
* Recruitment and Staffing: Act as an advisor on recruitment, ensuring job descriptions and personnel specifications are up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
* Discipline and Grievance: Lead in providing support in disciplinary and grievance cases, including investigation and interview procedures.
* Training and Development: Create and implement training programs on key HR initiatives such as recruitment, absence management, and disciplinary procedures.
* Reporting: Generate HR reports for Councils and Committees on labour turnover, recruitment, and absence management.
* General HR Support: Assist in general HR queries, deputise for the Head of Human Resources, and supervise HR staff as needed.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced HR professional who is currently available or available at short notice. You will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of employment law and experience in implementing HR policies and procedures.
