We are currently seeking Experienced School Nurses to join a well-established organization, offering meaningful work and the chance to make a difference in students' health and well-being.
Available Positions:
Cork City: 22 hours per week, including Saturdays
Sutton/Howth: 30 hours per week
Your Role:
As a School Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to provide health services to students during school hours. You'll be integral in treating injuries, managing mild to acute sicknesses, and supporting students with chronic illnesses.
You’ll also play a key role in preventive care, educating students on proper hygiene, how to avoid communicable diseases, and encouraging healthy lifestyle practices.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a School Nurse or in a similar healthcare role
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
* Compassionate, responsible, and ready to make a positive impact on student health

Responsibilities
* Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
* Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities
* Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene
* Detect health problems in early stages through regular screenings
* Keep track of students’ vaccination records
* Update students’ medical history
* Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
* Write referrals for pediatricians and other health specialists
