Here, Hays Recruitment Engineering Services, a Client in Cork is hiring a Project Manager to join their client site in Cork.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
2. The Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project’s objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
3. Lead New Product, Process and Technology implementation initiatives while tightly managing project spend on capital & expense budgets.
4. Define and clarify project scope while developing and maintaining the project schedule. Ownership for managing and reporting project progress.
5. Work closely with Product Development, Advanced Technology and Global Marketing to drive successful project implementation.
6. Actively engage with Manufacturing Operations to evaluate existing process layouts in terms of new process integration, ensuring the best utilisation of floor space, minimised handling and optimum process flow.
7. Participate in the selection, training and performance appraisal process of project resources, including temporary contract SMEs as required.
8. Responsible for identifying, monitoring, and appropriately managing project risk and liaising with the broader AO team on common NPI issues and resolutions.
9. Establishment of priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while using project management tools and techniques to support the delivery of new products per cost and time committed.
10. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge Skills:
11. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or with 4 or more years’ experience in a technical and/or project management role.
12. Experience of working in a regulated environment (med device).
13. Experience of leading/managing product transfer into other manufacturing sites.
14. Experience of leading/managing in-sourcing production from external sites.
15. Excellent Interpersonal Skills – able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Be open minded with the ability to recognise good ideas.
16. Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks.
17. Will have demonstrated an ability to define project risk and to effectively manage project risks.
18. Excellent attention to detail.
