Job Description:
We are seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cloud computing technologies, assisting a global list of companies and developers who are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
You will act as the 'Cloud Ambassador' across all the cloud products, arming our customers with required tools and tactics to get the most out of their product and support investment.
A typical day for a Support Engineer may include solving customer cases through various contact channels, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques, and working with customers to resolve issues. Additionally, you may coach or mentor new hires, develop and present training, partner with development teams on complex issues, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols, web-based services, and client/server architectures. Experience with scripting languages, storage protocols, and network troubleshooting tools is also essential. Prior experience with AWS services such as CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, SES, and Elemental Media services is preferred.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree OR 2+ equivalent experience in a technical position
* Strong understanding of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, SFTP, TCP, and UDP
* Experience with web-based services and applications, Apache, Tomcat, etc.
* Knowledge of client/server and distributed systems architectures
* Strong Unix/Linux or Windows system administration skills
* Knowledge of Simple Email Service (SES), AWS CloudFront, or Media Streaming and Content Delivery Services
* Experience operating and troubleshooting email services using SMTP protocol
* Experience with scripting languages (i.e., bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
* Detailed knowledge of storage protocols: iSCSI, NFS, SMB
* Expertise with network troubleshooting and tools (e.g., traceroute)
* Prior working experience with AWS services (e.g., AWS CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, SES, AWS Elemental Media services)
* Experience with cloud architecture patterns and distributed computing concepts
