Great opportunity for a hospitality operations professional looking to escape late nights We are recruiting an energetic hospitality manager for this premium venue in Co Limerick. The Assistant Operations Manager provides operations support to the Operations Manager and wider team and plays a major role in the ongoing development of the venues bar and retail services. This is a pivotal, customer-facing role within the company. Key areas of responsibility: Operations & FOH Management Assist the Operations Manager in the management and coordination of the Front of House and Retail teams Take on role of acting Operations Manager when required Lead Front of House and Retail management for concerts and events General administrative duties, ie timesheets, Health & Safety, retail records Ensure the safety of all patrons, staff, visitors etc. through the proper implementation and enforcement of H&S regulations and emergency procedures Work closely with all relevant departments to ensure the venue and all events operate smoothly and efficiently Manage and assist with projects as required, ie procurement, facilities, event management Encourage and act upon customer comments and complaints Bar and Retail Management Manage all day-to-day bar and retail operations within budget guidelines Design and create promotional opportunities Consistently manage all audits, metrics and reporting channels Deliver the highest standards of customer service Negotiate supplier and trade rates Ensure all legal requirements are adhered to at all times, ie licensing, H&S, fire procedures Team Management Recruitment, training and appraisals of the Bar, Retail and FOH teams Monitor staff work performance, ie time keeping, general discipline, dress code Manage staff rosters to optimum levels of support Budget Management Responsible for the financial performance of the Bar and Retail units Adhere to targets and assist in the development of department budgets Meet/Exceed all relevant sales, revenue and gross profit metrics Work with accounts to create and deliver operational budgets Manage and ensure tight stock control and cash handling procedures Ordering of supplies according to budget and procurement guidelines The successful candidate: At least three years experience in a hospitality operations role Duty Manager, Bar Manager, F&B Supervisor in a quality hotel/venue with volume events business Experience managing a strong team in a fast paced environment Flexibility to deal with a wide variety of events with differing requirements; ability to recognise and quickly resolve potential problems Strong leadership and personnel management skills, with the ability to be proactive and work on own initiative, as well as work effectively within a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal Exceptional customer service focus and commitment to company values and image Ability to be confident and positive when dealing with challenging situations, and to remain calm under pressure Good hours available with this role with 10pm latest finish, earlier on quiet days.
