We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable tester to assist in developing the software that supports our card payment service proposition offered to customers. The type of person we are looking for will have had considerable experience and involvement in testing new applications from the ground up based on the businesses specification and requirements and supporting effective test strategies, tracking feedback and presenting test analysis to colleagues and ensuring effective fixes are implemented.
The role will be based in our office in Citywest, Dublin 24. After a successful 6 month probationary period, we may offer a hybrid work model, allowing for 3 days in the office each week and 2 days working from home or from some other suitable location.
Job Description
* Responsible for manual front-end and back-end software testing
* Work to construct an automated test framework to improve the overall efficiency of testing
* Define and run manual test cases as well as construct automated test cases
* Designing new and improving test strategies
* Identify new areas of testing to improve quality
* Contribute ideas to enhance the specification and systems during and post development
* A well-structured and project driven individual that is able to plan and set accurate delivery expectations and is used to providing regular updates to their line manager on their progress
* Keep abreast of technology/software enhancements and how they would apply and would be used within our business.
* Participate in daily team stand up/SCRUM meetings to discuss progress with other team members
Knowledge and Skills
* A keen eye for detail and a passion for user-interface design
* Analytic problem solving, bug finding and troubleshooting

* Good knowledge and experience of automated testing tools
* Experience of writing automated functional, acceptance and regression test scripts
* Commercial experience in the design, development and execution of QA Test Plans
* Experience with Agile, Scrum, JIRA.
