Job Description:
Role: Senior UX Researcher
Duration: initial 6-month daily rate contract with view to extend or go perm
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for leading research studies and incrementally innovate with product, design, engineering and content, informing the direction of a new and innovative application.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, conduct, and analyse a range of user research activities (e.g., user interviews, usability testing, surveys, focus groups, field studies) to gather insights about user needs, pain points and preferences.
2. Collaborate with designers and product teams to translate research findings into actionable insights that inform the design and development of user-centered products.
3. Create user personas, journey maps and other relevant artifacts to visualise research findings and communicate insights effectively.
4. Use qualitative and quantitative research methods to support both discovery and validation of design concepts.
5. Advocate for user needs throughout the product development lifecycle.
6. Help create and maintain research roadmaps that align with product priorities and timelines.
7. Stay up-to-date on UX research trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as a UX Researcher or in a similar user research role.
2. Strong knowledge of UX research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative (e.g., usability testing, ethnographic studies, surveys, A/B testing).
3. Experience with UX research tools.
4. Ability to analyse research data and translate findings into actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
7. Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes is a plus.
8. Analytics experience a plus.
