My client within the HSE have an immediate requirement for a Grade VII Financial Accountant based in Kilkenny on an initial 9 month contract.
This role will be onsite with some flexibility following training.
Key tasks will include:
1. Annual Financial Statements Process (Dec Year End)
2. Audit – C&AG
3. Project experience would be an advantage/SAP 4Hana systems experience
4. Data analysis/Data cleansing in relation to transition to new Finance/Procurement system
5. Month End Process
6. Journal preparation
7. Balance Sheet reconciliations
8. Patient Income reconciliation
9. Reconciliation of weekly/monthly files – Vendor payments/Payroll payment files
10. Balancing of Bank to Ledger
11. Bank payment authorisations
12. Other Analytical work (eg. Aged Analysis/Reconciliation of various Reports to GL)
13. Procurement Cards programme management (Staff credit cards)
14. Cash-flow requirements (weekly requirements sent a week in advance) to HSE Corporate treasury
The ideal candidate will be:
1. Ideally Qualified Accountant or Part Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
2. Proactive in resolving issues with a can do attitude
