Maintenance Manager
Vickerstock is working with an international food company to assist them with their recruitment of a Maintenance Manager for their site in Dublin.
Our client has some of the biggest and best known brands within the food sector across Europe.
Your Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a high-performance maintenance team, developing and embedding high standard maintenance processes and practices within a highly automated 24/7 distribution facility.
2. Manage the efficient operation and maintenance of all associated utilities.
3. Required experience in people management with evidence of supporting team development and delivery of departmental goals.
4. Develop and manage the annual budget for the maintenance department.
5. Ensure adherence to Company policies & procedures and health & safety practices are followed.
6. Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to SAP system is highly desirable.
7. Strong organisation and planning skills with ability to prioritise effectively.
8. Effective communication and problem-solving skills required.
9. Responsible for conducting Risk Assessments and reviewing RAMS, SOP's and other documents.
10. Manage a Maintenance team of 5 maintenance technicians.
11. Competent in troubleshooting using 6 Sigma process.
12. Continuously update PM tasks and manage PM schedules on SAP.
13. Organize training and coaching for the maintenance staff.
14. Organize shift and holiday rosters for the maintenance department.
15. Ensure correct spares are maintained for all equipment using SAP.
16. Identify areas for Continuous Improvement in mechanical, electrical and system controls and implement a continuous improvement project plan.
17. Manage and organize numerous CAPEX projects and continuous improvement projects through the project life cycle.
18. Manage external Contractors to ensure maintenance repairs and projects are completed on target and within budget.
19. Address and close out all issues raised in GDP, BRC, DAFM audits as per agreed schedule.
20. Review daily shift reports and address any outstanding issues.
21. Organize calibration for temperature probes in cold stores, loading bays and chilled rooms; review and maintain temperature certificates.
Requirements:
* Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
* Five years recent and relevant experience leading and managing a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment.
* Good working knowledge of SAP required.
* Capable of troubleshooting system issues at a high level.
* Good understanding of Siemens PLC step7 programs advantageous.
