Management Accountant - County Cavan
As Management Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller and Director of Finance for reliable planning, decision-making, and controlling. The role will increase the financial acumen of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Costing: Perform cost and material cost analysis, understanding cost drivers, allocation methods, and control techniques to optimize financial effectiveness. Manage, monitor, and report on costs.
2. Accounting: Accurately record financial transactions and ensure guardianship of the same for the ability to understand and drive business performance, financial position, and cash flows.
3. Projects: Get involved in business transformational and control projects that impact profitability and decision-making.
4. Management Accounts: Create management accounts typically including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide a comprehensive overview of the company's financial performance.
5. Reconciliation: Match transactions (monthly sales and margin, balance sheets) internally against external statements and documents to ensure accuracy and confidence in financial reporting.
6. Audit: Perform and participate in third-party audits for assurance of highly accurate data and compliance with rules and regulations, providing assurance to all stakeholders.
7. Forecasting: Use quantitative and qualitative insights to forecast company performance and help develop, implement, and scrutinize business strategies and financial decision-making.
Interested applicants should have:
* Qualified CIMA, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant.
* At least 2 years' post-qualification experience.
* Manufacturing experience is an advantage.
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Excel.
