Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager – Operations and Technology to work with the Director of Operations to enhance our operational efficiency and technological infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of our business processes, digital platforms, and technology-driven solutions to support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, technology implementation, and digital transformation within a publishing, media, or content-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
* Oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with company goals.
* Streamline workflows across departments, implementing best practices for process improvement.
* Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements to optimize operational performance.
* Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core business functions.
* Work closely with editorial, marketing, and customer service teams to enhance operational effectiveness.
1. Technology and Digital Strategy
* Aid in the development and execution of the company’s digital infrastructure strategy.
* Oversee the daily management, optimization, and security of digital platforms, websites, and subscription systems.
* Collaborate with IT teams and third-party providers to ensure robust cybersecurity and data protection measures.
* Implement new technologies to improve customer experience and business efficiency.
* Support automation initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce manual workloads.
2. Project Management and Innovation
* Drive key operational and technological projects from inception to completion.
* Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow enhancements.
* Ensure seamless integration of technology solutions with marketing, CRM, and content management systems.
* Analyse data and performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
* Along with the Director of Operations, foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within operations and technology.
* Work closely with senior leadership to align operational and technology strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management and technology leadership within a media, publishing, or digital business.
* Strong understanding of digital platforms, CRM systems, automation tools, and subscription-based business models.
* Expertise in process optimization, workflow automation, and operational efficiency.
* Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure and data management best practices.
* Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to improve processes.
* Experience managing operational KPIs.
* This is a permanent, full-time position, reporting into the Director of Operations.
