Our client, a leading hotel based in Cork, have a new opening that has arisen for a Financial Controller to join their team. If you have been considering a change of role leading into the new year this could be just the opportunity you have been looking for!
Your Role:
1. Compile, analyse and develop month-end financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow etc.
2. Monitor and develop KPIs providing detailed analysis of revenue, margins, working capital, cashflow etc.
3. Ensure compliance of Internal Controls and policies for all financial procedures.
4. Assist the Hotel with the annual operating budget process with subsequent forecasts throughout the year.
5. Preparation and review of Capex proposals for submission to Senior Management and board.
6. Preparation of Board presentations.
7. Provide technical accounting support for colleagues on an ongoing basis.
8. Assist the leadership team with ad-hoc projects / initiatives.
Your Profile:
1. The ideal individual will be fully qualified with prior experience in the Hotel industry. There is flexibility on both of these points though.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Ability to analyse information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
5. High attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
6. Strong Excel competency.
7. Strong analytical skills - ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
8. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
