Trilogy International is seeking a Project Engineer to act as Project Lead with one of our esteemed Life Science clients.
In this role, you will lead highly complex projects to design, implement, and optimise fully automated manufacturing lines within third-party manufacturers.
This includes managing the entire equipment lifecycle, from design review to production ramp-up. You'll act as a technical leader and project manager, ensuring successful project delivery and compliance with internal and external standards.
This is a 6-month daily rate contract (scope for extension, 2-3 years) requiring 5 days onsite at our client’s Kilkenny facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, implementation, optimisation and sustaining of automated manufacturing lines.
* Plan and manage major engineering projects, including build, test, commissioning, and validation.
* Collaborate with equipment suppliers to meet production start-up and scale-up goals.
* Ensure adherence to quality, regulatory, and company standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
* Liaise with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Regulatory.
* Develop innovative solutions, implement engineering changes, and champion continuous improvement.
* Prepare technical documentation and reports in compliance with business standards.
Experience
* Level 8 Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
* 5+ years in project engineering, with a focus on automated manufacturing.
* Previous experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries preferred.
* Demonstrated expertise in validation, commissioning, and lifecycle management of automated systems.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing abilities.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
