Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager, Global Inventory Management. This position is primarily located in West Chester, PA with consideration for other J&J Medtech locations within the US, Ireland, and Switzerland.
The manager will be accountable for delivering inventory targets and optimization programs for DPS (globally); covering Joints Reconstruction, TECA (Trauma-Extremities-Craniomaxillofacial-Animal), Spine, Sports & Shoulders and Power Tools/ Robotics. This program covers primary and secondary Hubs Entitlement, including some Regional/Market DCs (via MEIO), Lead Time improvement, Cycle Inventory optimization, among others.
Responsibilities:
1. People: Leads and develops a team of planning analysts, who drive Inventory Management for all DePuy Synthes Platforms: Joints and TECA (Trauma / Extremities / Craniomaxillofacial / Animal), assessing and implementing improvement plans.
2. Process: Drives adherence to Plan Transformation Blueprints.
3. Lead: Serves as planning primary point of contact for Global Inventory; collaborates with DPS Regional SC Planning teams, Finance and Commercial Business Partners to deliver targets and contingency plans.
4. S&OP/IBP: Accountable for Global operational inventory monthly reporting process and budget cycles (BP, JU, NU and revisions).
5. Parameter optimization: Drives detailed understanding of key inventory parameters, such as MOQ, EOQ, lead times, master data and supply variability trends.
6. Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO): Drives maturity of MEIO process / tool and challenges inventory policies.
7. LRFP: Coordinates annual Long Term / Strategic inventory planning activities.
8. Team leader: Engagement with S&OP, Demand Planning, New Product Development and Supply Network Planning pillars as well as Finance and Commercial Operations required. Integration of regional-specific strategies or constraints into the global franchise or regional processes needed to ensure high end customer service levels.
9. Mentor: Seeks continuous improvement and coaches team to be the voice of their Platform, through strong analytics and executive communication skills, so they can represent Inventory Management in S&OP/IBP Platform specific forums.
10. Technology leader: Work with MedTech and Enterprise functions to use existing technologies to streamline work, and participate in vision workshops, to design the function's technology landscape for the LRFP horizon.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent University degree required; with a focus in a Business, Technical, or Operations (Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Operations Research or Engineering) preferred. Master's degree focused in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Engineering preferred.
Required:
1. Experience in Supply Chain Planning and/or extensive knowledge of S&OP processes, Demand Planning and/or Inventory Management.
2. Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, with 2 of those years being in people leadership or management.
3. Self-learning or formal training and applied experience, on coding platforms like Alteryx / R / Python and/or proficiency in reporting platforms like Tableau/Power BI.
4. Proven enterprise approach, with ability to impact and collaborate across multi-geography and with regional team, as well as with support functions, to achieve business objectives.
Preferred:
1. Lean or Six Sigma training or certification, or experience in industry or prior projects with high degree of lean thinking.
2. Solid understanding of relevant systems (JD Edwards, SAP, OMP/APO or similar).
3. Alteryx/R/Python/Tableau/Power BI certifications.
4. APICS certification.
5. Experienced in leading cross-functional global projects and teams is required.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills to present to Sr Leadership in a concise and eloquent manner, showing a validated understanding of inventory fundamentals, risks and opportunities, and associated impact.
7. Interpersonal skills, trade off decision-making process, and influencing skills.
Other:
English language proficiency is required. French & German are a plus but not required. Requires up to 15% domestic & international travel.
