L2 Technical Support Engineer required for communication company based in Park West, Dublin 12. The L2 team take ownership of customer issues through to resolution, and are the link between the First Line and Escalation engineering as needed.
This is a hybrid working role 2 -3 days in-office/remote, and salary is 40K p.a. base.
Responsibilities:
* Assist customers and 1st Line Engineers in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
* Review support tickets to identify areas for improvement, provide constructive feedback, and targeted training opportunities.
* Provide technical support with routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Configure network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) for voice and data transmissions.
* Be available to travel to customers' premises where required.
Requirements:
* Experience from a similar position.
* Knowledge of the SIP protocol and IP networking tracing tools (e.g., Wireshark).
* Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with VoIP phones (Yealink, Cisco, Poly, Snom).
* Networking knowledge, including IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, and DNS, at CCNA or CompTIA Network+.
* Ability to troubleshoot broadband connectivity issues and log faults with service providers.
* Familiarity with Linux, Google Apps, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office products.
* Experience with remote management software, such as TeamViewer.
* 22 days AL.
* Pension contribution 5%.
