Project Engineer
Summary: We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team at Breedon Cement, Kinnegad. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and delivering engineering projects in a heavy industrial production plant.

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team at Breedon Cement, Kinnegad. As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, co-ordinating and delivering engineering projects in a heavy industrial production plant.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure Safety and Legal Compliance: Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed.
* Support Engineering Requirements: To support the engineering requirements through managing & liaising with the senior team, main contractor, subcontractors, direct labour and site management.
* Design Interpretation: Interpret client requests and specifications to ensure designs are correctly transformed into engineering drawings.
* Cost Estimation: Conduct cost estimation. Electrical design of customized solutions including motor sizing, pneumatic/electro-pneumatic/and electrical routing.
* Project Planning: Plan schedule and co-ordinate engineering projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Equipment Sourcing: Source equipment and parts from external suppliers.
* Field Installation Management: Manage & Supervise field installations necessary on all projects.
* Pre-commissioning and Testing: Carry out pre-commissioning and test works.
* Problem Resolution: Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standard.
* Reporting: Prepare and submit reports as required.
* Feasibility Studies: Assist in carrying out feasibility studies on improvement projects with emphasis on improving production cost and quality.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Education: Third level or equivalent engineering qualification.
* Experience: 3-5 years' experience, preferably in heavy industry environment.
* Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate in word, excel and AutoCAD.
* Technical Knowledge: Have: knowledge/experience in PLC Controls, Variable speed drives, Instrumentation, Electronic Motor protection.
* Attitude: Committed and positive attitude to work, ability to work on own initiative, can do/make it happen attitude, ability to adapt to changing circumstances essential.
