Talent Development/Learning & Development SpecialistLocation: MacDonagh Office Unit 12Job type: PermanentOverview of role: The Talent Development Specialist is a key role within the Ireland HR Leadership Team and is responsible for driving and developing further the UPMC Employee Experience.
The role will support the People Strategy at UPMC Ireland, participating in change initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives from a learning support perspective to support our culture of high engagement at UPMC.
The role reports to the Director of Human Resources for UPMC Ireland. The role will partner with Senior Regional HR Managers, HR Business Partners, HR Operations and Talent Acquisition functions and together they will have a strong focus on providing a HR value add service to UPMC Ireland and its employees to create an environment for our employees to thrive at all levels.
The role will work in partnership with senior stakeholder and business partners to support the learning agenda, delivering solutions from leadership development, onboarding, fundamental business skills and line manager essentials, with the aim of creating an engaging and memorable, end to end colleague learning experience.
The candidate for this position will be a dynamic fast paced individual who can self-manage, follow direction and ensure team tasks are completed to the standard consistent with UPMC expectations. This role is a mix of strategic and operational focus. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proven track record of success who is looking for the next step in their career. Developing a dedicated Talant Development Function, you will also be responsible for the delivery of training personally and through the HR Team.
The right individual will have strong relationship management and employee relations skills and will be able to present and deliver work with high quality outcomes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the HR Leadership Team and Senior Leaders across the business to create a framework to identify current and future development needs required to support individuals/teams/functions in achieving their goalsLink with US teams to review resources available and source/develop local solutions to deliver training programmes aligned to business needs - differentiating between clinical training/ people management training / leadership trainingSupport the leadership team with the annual performance review process across Ireland driving continuous improvement in our processes, tools and capabilityEmbed our talent review process into the business including succession planning for all critical roles within the organisationEstablish a bi-annual UPMC Professional Development Programme and take ownership of same including budgetWork with the HR team to ensure that diversity, wellbeing, talent, and engagement initiatives are supported by appropriate learning material.Manage senior stakeholder relationships and business partner relationships to drive change to our performance process whilst delivering on immediate priorities to support the needs of the organisationCultivate a culture of learning and promote development of colleagues through communication and engagement Engage with key stakeholders across all BU’s to ensure that mandatory training compliance rates are consistently high and audit readyProvide updates and data insights to various stakeholders to demonstrate the impact of and engagement with learning activitiesManage L&D vendors and spendsInvestigate sponsorship programmes with educational bodies and introduce formal graduate programmeIntroduce and roll out a mentoring programme for future talent and succession planning capabilitiesCoach, support all HR team members in all aspects of Talent DevelopmentManage LMS platform & support team development in e-learning to maximise benefits of eLearning across the group As an employee of UPMC you have a
