What is the opportunity?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Dublin office as a Compliance Monitoring Associate on a permanent basis. This role is part of the Wealth Management Europe Regulatory Compliance Team and will support the RBC Brewin Dolphin Ireland Head of Regulatory Compliance with the monitoring of compliance.
What will you do?
* Maintain and implement the compliance monitoring program and assist in ensuring RBC BD Ireland follows regulatory requirements.
* The focus of the monitoring program includes MiFID II, Market Abuse Regulation and Consumer Protection Code compliance.
* Assist in the update of the compliance monitoring program in line with review results and input from compliance advisors.
* Complete reviews within scheduled timeframes, taking a risk-based approach.
* Support with updating the Compliance policies and procedures manuals and monitoring program appropriate to the business in Ireland.
* Help and support Compliance team members in their day-to-day roles and activities.
* Aid in the maintenance of relevant compliance registers.
* Assist with the development and provision of staff training.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
* Proven experience in the Financial Services Industry, preferably in Compliance, monitoring or an internal audit role.
* A good knowledge of MiFID or Consumer Protection Code and the Central Bank's Client Asset Requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Demonstrable Excel skills.
Nice-to-have
* A legal, professional or 3rd level qualification.
* Professional Certificate in Compliance.
