Candidates will work with a modern tech stack on a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud platform that serves users in over 49 countries. The core platform consists of systems housed in a large-scale environment responsible for processing billions of tasks every day. The candidate should have strong leadership ability and bring a passion for software engineering to help shape the direction of the team. Highly sought-after qualities include strong communication skills, versatility, and a desire to continuously learn, improve, and empower other team members. Candidate will support building scalable, highly available, reliable, efficient, and secure cloud solutions for a medical device SaaS.
What You’ll Work On
1. Learn and improve our existing React and Go based health care platforms.
2. Implement services, features, and components utilizing React, Node and Go.
3. Develop high-volume, low-latency services for a global health care platform
4. Collaborate directly with InfoSec teams to design and implement secure solutions.
5. Collaborate with both internal and external team members to shape and define API contracts.
6. Provide new ideas and insight in collaboration with the data services team.
7. Ensure performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
8. Build out internal tooling and APIs to make business and engineering processes easier, faster, and safer.
9. Implement systemic changes to align existing systems with current architectural goals.
10. Create diagrams, flowcharts and models that illustrate the internal design and workflow of solution components.
11. Collaborate as an engaged member of an Agile team focused on realizing features through development, test, and delivery.
Required Qualifications
12. 1-2+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment, including internships.
13. Full stack software development experience in any of the following: Go, React, Node, Javascript, HTML, CSS and JSX.
14. Strong Computer Science fundamentals and experience with software development
15. Highly motivated to learn new software development languages to meet goals and objectives.
16. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail
17. Demonstrated track record of working well with others in cross-functional roles in fast-paced and changing environments, including asynchronously with distributed teams.
18. Experience conducting effective and collaborative code reviews with colleagues.
19. Practical experience and understanding of working with and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
20. Understands Object Oriented Programming and design and building modular, unit testable code.
21. Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
Preferred Qualifications
22. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related engineering discipline) and/or equivalent training & work experience.
23. Understanding and experience in Go and/or React.
24. Experience working with both relational and documented oriented datastores such as SQL Server, Postgresql, or MySql.
25. Practical knowledge of Linux.
26. Understanding the concepts of Docker Containers and container orchestration services such as Docker Swarm, ECS, and Kubernetes.
27. Experience with Grafana, Segment, Sentry, feature flagging, and/or Mixpanel.
The base pay for this position is $73,600.00 – $147,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
