We are a family-owned garden centre looking for a FULL TIME reliable and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Cashier/Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers and handling all aspects of the checkout process.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
2. Scan and bag customer purchases accurately and efficiently
3. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
4. Assist customers with inquiries about products and services
5. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
6. Support the sales team by restocking shelves and ensuring that products are displayed appropriately
7. Follow company policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a retail environment preferred
2. Excellent customer service skills
3. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
4. Basic math skills
5. Availability to work weekends and holidays as required
