Location: Various projects across Europe (Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, and potentially Spain). Primarily based in either Head Office (Dublin, Blanchardstown) or Satellite Office (Toomebridge, Northern Ireland).

Role Overview:
Centum Engineering is a progressive company and leading provider of engineering services to several main contractors operating across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe - Working on large and important projects across all industries. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a growing organization and take on a leadership position in a European-focused electrical project delivery team.
The Electrical Contracts Manager will oversee and manage large-scale electrical installation projects across Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from planning and procurement to execution and completion. This is a key leadership role focused on delivering high-quality electrical installations while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The role also involves building a strong project delivery team, including commercial and site supervision staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery:
· Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical installation projects, including containment packages, lighting, small power, fire alarm, CCTV access control, and data installations.
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet milestones and deadlines.
· Identify early risks to project delivery, including material delays, subcontractor coordination, and access issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
· Work closely with site teams to ensure smooth execution and compliance with project programs.
Contract & Commercial Management:
· Have a strong understanding of contract law, delays, variations, extras, compensation events, and claims.
· Prepare and submit claims for variations, extras, and compensation events while tracking negotiations and settlements with the client.
· Liaise with the estimating department to ensure project budgets are maintained and cost overruns are managed effectively.
· Work with the commercial QS to maintain job costing analysis and project cash flows.
Subcontractor & Material Procurement:
· Procure, manage, and coordinate subcontractors for project execution.
· Oversee procurement, logistics, and material handling to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials.
· Ensure materials and subcontractor packages align with project budgets and specifications.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
· Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and other safety documentation.
· Promote and enforce a culture of health and safety awareness across all project sites.
Business Development & Client Engagement:
· Engage with clients to foster strong relationships and support contract negotiations.
· Assist in securing new contracts by supporting business development initiatives.
· Play an active role in project tenders and contract negotiations to secure profitable and sustainable work.
Team Building & Leadership:
· Recruit and develop a team around them, including commercial QSs and site supervision staff.
· Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, ensuring high standards of execution.
· Actively engage in the foundational development of a European construction and installation department.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience & Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience managing large-scale electrical installation projects.
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, containment packages, lighting, fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and data installations.
· Experience in managing subcontractors and procuring materials for complex projects.
· Well-versed in contract management, including handling delays, variations, and claims.
· Ability to develop and maintain project programs, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other project management software.
· A background in contract law or a related course is advantageous.
