THE ROLE Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with our client - a high-profile public sector organisation in the provision of a talented contract Data Entry Administrator for an assignment.
This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract and offers desirable fixed term salary or daily rate.
Our client is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified individual to take on the role of Data Entry Administrator with SQL and/or Python knowledge.
Reporting to the Data Lead, the principal function of this role is to support the processing and validation of data input into various data repositories.
The role involves managing, cleansing, and migrating data from multiple sources into a single consolidated dataset, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Data Lead, the principal duties and responsibilities of the Data Entry Administrator will include: Processing and validating data input into various systems to ensure the required level of service, accuracy, and availability.
Managing and maintaining data repositories, ensuring a single source of accurate data for downstream systems.
Assisting in data migration projects, consolidating data from multiple sources into a unified dataset.
Conducting data validation against appropriate schemas and standards.
Engaging in data normalisation and cleansing to ensure data quality.
Processing emergency data supply changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
Writing basic SQL queries to retrieve and validate data.
Assisting in testing and validation of enhancements and new features in data-related systems.
Supporting business reporting and compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Candidates must meet the following requirements: Hold a minimum of an NFQ degree-level qualification in computing, engineering, information technology, or a relevant technical discipline related to data analysis, preferably data science or equivalent.
Have previous experience working in a data entry, data management, or similar administrative role.
Be proficient in SQL for data retrieval and validation.
Have experience with data processing tools and methodologies.
Possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Be effective at prioritising work to meet target deadlines.
Be available to attend site a minimum of 2 days per week Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and influence data quality improvements.
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES The ideal candidate will also: Have experience with Python for data processing and automation.
Possess knowledge of commonly used public transport data specifications (NeTEx, GTFS, VDV, SIRI, NaPTAN) or similar industry standards.
Demonstrate an understanding of data management principles and best practices.
Have experience in defining and understanding business requirements related to data management.
Show familiarity with real-time data processing and reporting systems.
