Position Overview:
As Education Manager, you support our learning and membership engagement activities. You will play a key role in ensuring the development and delivery of learning deliverables that align with the IGBC’s mission to promote sustainable building practices. This role requires collaboration across all teams within IGBC, and it is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain experience in L&D within the sustainability sector.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. In collaboration with IGBC staff, assist in the development of a comprehensive midterm and long-term learning and development strategy for the IGBC Education programme.
2. Working with the subject matter expertise internally within IGBC and externally to develop new and improve existing learning materials and programmes related to ESG, Taxonomy, Green procurement, LCA, LCC, IAQ, Zero Carbon, Biodiversity, climate adaptation, etc.
3. Developing peer-to-peer learning programmes for members to improve their expert knowledge.
4. Liaising closely with the Membership director to identify training needs of members.
5. Develop strategic partnerships with existing training and education providers.
6. Identify and develop business development opportunities to generate revenue through IGBC’s education offerings.
7. Liaising with the marketing department to ensure strong take-up of programmes.
8. Administrative management of the LearnWorlds education platform.
Qualifications and Experience required:
Degree required in sustainability, education, construction or business-related topics suited to development of successful high-quality programmes.
Skills required:
1. Experience in developing education and training programmes to include curriculum development.
2. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. CRM experience is preferred, not required.
6. Exceptional project management, organisational and time management skills.
7. Experience with social media platforms and online event tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Eventbrite, Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress, Clipchamp or other video editing tools, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
8. Passion for sustainability and green building practices.
