Role: Resource Recovery SupervisorPurpose of the Role:Location: Sand Industrial AtloneQualification: MatricISO 9001, 14001 and OSHAS 45001 systems. EXPERIENCE: De packaging, Recycling, production & recovery of waste streams experience and onsite management. Own vehicle : Light Motor Vehicle All recovery, de packaging and recycling activities should always be neat and tidy. Role & Responsibilities: Turn suitable waste streams into a resource provided that it is financially viable.
To ensure materials received into the warehouse and treatment plant are de-packaged & processed in a timely manner
To have knowledge and adhere to the company’s intentions as stated in the Environmental Policy.
To understand the legal requirements pertaining to the job of resource recovery supervisor.
To fully understand and implement the emergency plan and to respond accordingly when required
To operate equipment without any accidents or incidents.
Update KPI’s weekly and monitor continuous improvements
To be a proud representative of the company and seek out and report any opportunities to management.
To act in a professional manner at all times.
To communicate effectively by reporting all incidents, accidents and near misses or any other information related to safety, health or environment.
To ensure that your admin duties are completed every day.
To ensure that all waste recovered is captured and reported to management on a monthly basis
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibilities.
To ensure that any recycling or recovery process complies with the OHSA18001 standards and is clean and tidy at all times.
To have knowledge and adhere to the companies intentions as stated in the Environmental Policy
To have an understanding of the impacts and potential impacts of the Resource recovery supervisors specific job
To understand the consequences of departing from the Resource recovery supervisors specified operating procedures
To understand the legal requirements pertaining to the job of resource recovery supervisor
To fully understand and implement the emergency plan and to respond accordingly when required.
TASKS:
Undertake all duties and tasks as prescribed from time to time by your Superior.
Ensure that clock cards/PRP are fully completed by all your staff and report to your Superior.
Ensure that all alternative disposal sites/ companies have the required permits and licenses
Always try to sell waste streams to possible outlets or alternative disposal sites.
Ensure that all appropriate documents are completed as required.
To do any additional duties that may be required of you from your superior.
Manage all staff that is involved in de -packaging, recycling, treatment or waste separation
Negotiate pricing with recyclers, always trying to obtain the best price for materials sold.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational at all times
Ensure all staff follow OES health and safety procedures
Ensure all staff always wear their PPE and uniforms
Ensure all staff are correctly inducted.
Ensure the working area is neat and tidy
