The ideal candidate for the Duty Manager position should: Possess prior experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star hospitality environment.
Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
Showcase strong leadership abilities and effective people management skills.
Effectively manage high-pressure situations while maintaining a balanced workload.
Possess a warm, approachable, and outgoing personality.
Display enthusiasm, flexibility, and a willingness to work five days a week, including weekends as required.
Key responsibilities of the Duty Manager will include: Oversee daily hotel operations by coordinating with all relevant Heads of Departments to ensure optimal staffing and organization to meet business requirements.
Maintain comprehensive awareness of hotel activities at all times, including functions, VIP schedules, and guest needs, while hosting daily function meetings to plan effectively and ensure the delivery of exceptional service and personalized attention to all guests and visitors.
Uphold high standards of service and product quality across all operational areas, taking corrective action when necessary to meet established service levels.
Engage with guests regularly, maintaining a visible presence during peak periods such as breakfast, check-in, check-out, group arrivals, and dinner service, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any needs promptly.
Actively participate in daily operations in a hands-on, supportive role, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Keep senior management informed of any significant issues, complaints, or challenges, ensuring that swift and appropriate resolutions are implemented.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security procedures, proactively addressing any potential risks or concerns.
Lead by example in delivering the highest levels of guest care, anticipating guest needs, and taking proactive steps to exceed their expectations at every opportunity.
