Fehily Timoney and Company is recruiting a Principal Environmental Scientist who will work as an integral member of the Environmental Science team in either the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the environmental business and working closely with fellow professionals.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the environmental sectors, including but not limited to, planning and EIAR, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permits, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.
FT's ResponsibilitiesLeading and managing a project team reporting to a DirectorProject management of Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, planning application documentation and other environmental reportsProvide expert environmental technical assistance to the businessActively participate in the delivery of business development initiativesManage the implementation of regulatory approvalsSkills / QualificationsEducated to degree level in a relevant environmental disciplineA minimum of 12 years post-graduate experience in an environmental positionChartered status in relevant disciplineExcellent knowledge of planning, environmental and waste management legislationProven track record in project management and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment ReportsReports, planning and licence/permit applications for a wide range of projectsTeam and client management experience essentialExcellent attention to detailBe flexible and a team playerExcellent report writing and technical reviewing skillsExperience of engaging with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies and sub-contractorsAn attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate including a competitive salary, hybrid working, shorter working Friday, medical benefit and professional body memberships.
