Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing construction works on site to ensure they are completed safely, on time and in line with the project drawings and specifications.
* Assuming day-to-day management of the site's technical and engineering requirements.
* Implementing quality control measures on the site and ensuring they are in line with the overall project plan.
* Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders in the planning and construction of the project.
Responsibilities
* Manage construction works on site to ensure safe and timely completion in line with project drawings and specifications.
* Assume day-to-day management of site technical and engineering requirements (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Design Team Workshops, etc.).
* Ensure quality control measures on the site are implemented and aligned with the overall BCAR plan.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors in planning and construction of the project.
* Support Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme, on budget and to high standard.
* Identify information gaps, develop solutions and rectify in conjunction with project and design teams.
* Maintain excellent relationships with construction project team and subcontractors.
Requirements
* Third-level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
* Knowledge of various types of construction and construction techniques.
* Competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
* Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
* Ability to formulate plans and execute in line with budget and timeline.
* Ability to make informed decisions and know when to escalate.
* Computer literate and familiar with MS Project, (or similar scheduling package).
