Your responsibilities:
Health and Safety consultant assisting the Health and Safety team with the following:
1. Carrying out the duties of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) co-ordinator on projects of varying sizes and complexities
2. Carrying out design health and safety reviews with our design teams on projects
3. Provision of advice to clients and designers in relation to construction, operational and occupational health and safety
4. Providing assistance to the Company Safety Officers in the implementation of our occupational safety management systems (which is OHSAS 18001 accredited)
5. Carrying out design and construction safety reviews/inspections on construction sites and operational facilities
We seek the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:
6. Working towards or have attained a Third level qualification in health and safety
7. Third level qualification in another technical area within the construction industry, e.g. Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar
8. Some knowledge of design and construction-related health and safety legislation
9. Some understanding of the PSDP role
10. Some knowledge of Safety Management Systems
11. Excellent communications, inter-personal and writing skills
12. Pro-active approach to gathering and processing information with good follow-through to completion
13. Some construction site experience will also be an advantage
