Senior Buyer
We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Procurement team in North Dublin.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills across departments and deliver key tasks with excellence.
2. Effectively navigate dynamic procurement environments.
3. Manage and deliver multiple project procurements simultaneously, ensuring timely deliveries.
4. Expedite supply chain management from source to delivery, guaranteeing timely deliveries.
5. Request and review supplier quotations from a commercial perspective.
6. Process requisition data through the ERP system.
7. Negotiate material rates.
8. Maintain supplier relationships and master data.
9. Conduct spend analysis.
10. Prepare financial reports (monthly/weekly) to meet defined KPIs.
11. Liaise with project managers to set and maintain budgets.
12. Apply LEAN initiatives within the purchasing process, where possible.
13. Investigate and evaluate new potential suppliers, recommending those most desirable to senior management.
14. Negotiate with partners for the recovery of defective products during the warranty period.
15. Stay up-to-date on best-in-class procurement practices to provide effective and practical solutions to stakeholder requests, concerns, and inquiries.
16. Assist in providing feedback to Procurement leads regarding the integration of preferred supplier alliances, including the effectiveness of the stakeholder/supplier interface, problem resolution, and optimization.
17. Participate on category teams providing technical support, linking market knowledge and site requirements.
18. Engage stakeholders and align on project delivery and budget buy-in.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant procurement diploma or degree.
* 5+ years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry (preferred).
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
* Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
