Deputy General Manager Role at Excel Recruitment
We are seeking a talented and ambitious candidate to fill the position of Deputy General Manager for one of Ireland's leading hotel groups. The successful candidate will have previous hotel management experience, particularly in Food & Beverage, with a strong background in supervising the day-to-day running of a hotel.

Responsibilities
* Provide strategic direction and leadership to the entire hotel team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and guest satisfaction.
* Hold daily briefings in areas of responsibility to ensure effective communication with department managers.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and inspire your team to exceed all guest expectations.
* Forecast business relating to events in the area and oversee an operations roster, including Duty Managers, Supervisors, Food and Beverage, and Conferencing team members.
* Train and mentor staff, continuing a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling.
* Drive sales initiatives within the property in conjunction with the sales and marketing team.
* Coordinate the Health & Safety agenda of the property.
* Manage cash handling, card transactions, banking, and sales reporting.
* Efficiently manage costs, meeting or exceeding budgetary targets.
Requirements
* Previous experience managing in a similar role in a large hotel.
* Strong Food & Beverage and restaurant experience.
* Exceptional leadership skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong cost management skills.
* Time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule (5 out of 7 days).
