Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Capital & Estates Department in the Midlands Area as an Assistant Project Manager.
This is a 1-year contract with potential for extension and future permanency, offering a challenging opportunity to work on a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and supervise major and minor capital works across the designated area.
* Manage specific projects within the program, both minor and major.
* Develop maintenance plans for buildings, services, and equipment in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
* Ensure buildings, services, and equipment meet safety and maintenance standards as per approved programs.
* Collaborate with the Property Manager to maintain property protocols and manage property-related tasks.
* Coordinate fire prevention measures with the Fire & Safety Officer.
* Provide guidance on energy efficiency and working with service personnel to ensure efficient energy use in organizational facilities.
* Offer expertise on facilities and environmental concerns alongside service personnel and advisors.
Requirements:
* Holding a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute, or membership in the relevant professional association.
* At least five years of experience in planning, design, project management, or construction of buildings or in the installation or maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and heating services of such buildings.
Knowledge & Experience:
* Extensive expertise and experience in building construction and services, along with an understanding of maintenance requirements.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and familiarity with HIQA Standards.
* Leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to facilitate and train team members.
