We are looking for a Support Engineer for office and field work. You will be part of a large team that helps install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for clients across Ireland / UK.
Responsibilities
1. Travel to sites across Ireland to support the training and deployment of devices to end users.
2. Guide users on site to customize and support any queries.
3. Onsite logistics of the equipment required for the deployment day.
4. General support to the training team and answer questions.
5. Set up and check the training devices.
6. Provide remote support to field users post-deployment.
7. Address user tickets.
8. Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems.
9. Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
10. Conduct remote troubleshooting.
11. Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue.
12. Record technical issues and solutions in logs.
13. Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
14. Follow up with end users to ensure their systems are functional.
15. Help create technical documentation and manuals.
Requirements and skills that would be beneficial
1. Work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
2. Hands-on experience with hardware/devices.
3. Full driver’s license.
4. Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
5. Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
6. Customer-oriented attitude.
7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
