IT/ SYSTEMS MANAGER
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to lead our IT Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, managing a team of IT professionals, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be part of the Senior Management team, have responsibility for developing the overall tech strategy and ensure it aligns with the overall business goals. With our growing customer base, this is an excellent time to join our clients team as the IT System Manager in this busy fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
1. Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, training, and support.
2. Manage, develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
3. Ensure the IT department meets its goals and objectives.
IT Infrastructure:
1. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
2. Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure, including data protection and disaster recovery plans.
3. Manage network and server performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Project Management:
1. Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
3. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
Technical Support:
1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues.
2. Ensure timely resolution of IT support requests.
3. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging IT trends and technologies.
4. Evaluate and select vendors for IT services and products.
5. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors.
6. Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
7. Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of services and products.
8. Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors effectively.
Modern Workplace Solutions:
1. Work with other Department Managers to design and implement modern workplace solutions to enhance productivity and collaboration.
2. Integrate cloud-based tools and services to support remote and hybrid work environments.
3. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across the organization using modern technologies.
4. Stay updated with the latest trends in workplace technology and recommend improvements.
5. Manage the data within the organization along with the development of services and internal processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project management or a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
4. Demonstrable leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
6. Proven experience of delivering projects involving multiple people.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
