Chef Manager Job Description
The Park Nursing Home, a leading residential and nursing home in Castletroy, is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to oversee the catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the daily routine within the catering team.
* Assign tasks, ensuring food production and safety.
* Comply with HACCP Regulations, First Aid, Hygiene, Health & Safety rules, and COSHH Regulations.
* Purchase ingredients as agreed and maintain kitchen setup and closure procedures.
* Plan and cost menus to meet residents' dietary requirements and requests.
* Prepare and cook food according to current food hygiene regulations and guidelines.
* Maintain high kitchen hygiene standards, record-keeping, and equipment operation/maintenance.
Requirements:
* Professional qualification in Culinary Arts or relevant field.
* Level 2 HACCP Training certification.
* Experience working in similar environments with knowledge of HIQA standards and special diets for the elderly.
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Supervisory experience and ability to motivate self and others.
* Passionate about delivering great food and fluent in English (written and oral).
