Our client is and established and well-respected Distributer of Life Science, Pharmaceutical Lab equipment, Medical Device & Food capital equipment across Ireland. They are embarking on an exciting phase of expansion within their Service Dept. with the addition of a number of new services which complement and enhance their existing extensive portfolio.
This role is primarily focused on the promotion and sales of these new and existing services to customers nationwide in the clinical, pharma/biopharma, med device, R&D, food/dairy/beverage and educational institution sectors. As well as the sale and promotion of services, there is also the opportunity to promote and upsell a large range of laboratory and industrial equipment which complement the services on offer.
This role is responsible for the implementation of the service sales strategy, progression of the sales pipeline and growth of market share via regular contact and visits to potential, new and existing customers. Full technical and product training will be provided where required.
The successful candidate will be closely supported by, and work with, the Group Head of Engineering who will offer advice and extensive support on service and equipment matters in order to ensure that the solutions which are best for our customers are always presented to them. There will also be the support of our clients Quotes & Contracts Administrator, Tenders Co-Ordinator, Service Co-Ordinator’s, Field Service Manager and the rest of the Industrial Sales Team.

Role/Responsibilities:
1. Promotion and sale of the extensive portfolio of new and existing services.
2. Execute strategies and action plans to drive sales
3. Prospect new accounts and manage existing customers
4. Generate proposals, prepare sales quotations, plan customer meetings, and perform presentations to showcase capabilities of services and products to customers
5. Monitor existing customer installations to improve customer satisfaction, maintain customer relationships and identify other opportunities for self and our clients group of companies
6. Asist the post sales process via collaboration with the marketing and wider sales teams
7. Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing and customer service strategies
8. Maintain clear and up to date calendar and call plans
9. Develop market plan, taking account of product life cycles, market trends and maturity
10. Demonstrate strong and consistent sales activity
11. Develop solid knowledge of the market including competitors, customers and suppliers
12. Assist the marketing team with the development of strategy, content and materials focused on the growth of the services offered by our client
Education/Experience:
13. Technical degree in Science or Engineering.
14. Proven sales track record in a service, technical or equipment sales role with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
15. Experience of laboratory activities, processes and associated equipment is a distinct advantage
